Our special in studio guests were Kjell “The Jellyman” Wygant and Chef Herrington from Rockyard American Grill and Brewing Company as well as Chef Ian Clark from Boulder’s newest nanobrewery Bru Handbuilt Ales. We checked in with tthe Gub in San Diego and talked about Oskar Blues’ new brewery in North Carolina, Tebo from Breckenridge Brewery, updated Colorado Beer Week and talked beer and food pairings.

Another road show at Arvada Beer Company! We talked to owner and brewer Cary Floyd about his new beers on tap and about their women’s only homebrew competition. Steve Kurowski from the Colorado Brewer’s Guild also joined in to talk about the new study they did with the University of Colorado on economic impact from the craft brewing industry on our state. This segment added 446 million into the economy in 2011. Pretty amazing numbers. We also talked to Scott Kerkmans who organizes Colorado Beer Week which is coming up starting May 12th. Nicol Winkler and Lindsay McNicholas from the Crafty Ladies also jumped on with us! They discussed the Crafty Ladies, the opening Colorado Beer Week event at Highland Tap and Burger on May 12th and an event they are putting together with Firestone Walker and Left Hand on May 14th. Special guests today were Gardiner Hammond from Alpine Dog Brewing Company and Moose Koons from Peach Street Distillery in Palisade. We talked about Gardiner’s brewery plan which involves some help from the public via Kickstarter. Alpine Dog will be specializing in hoppy beers and Belgians! Moose filled us in on the happenings at Peach Street as they have 18 different spirits! We also talked to Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery and announced a Beer vs Wine lunch at Row 14 Bistro & Wine Bar we are involved with.Tickets will go on sale next Saturday March 24th.Master Sommalier Doug Krenick joined us to talk about the event as well.
