Nicol Winkler (AKA The Thirsty German and Turk were front and center to celebrate 24 years of Breckenridge Brewery! They closed off Kalamath between 4th and 5th in what will be the last anniversary bash at their current location. This was an amazing event with a pig roast, 6 bands, great people and of course, tasty suds. Every band rocked the stages hard and got us all dancing! It was our first time seeing the Magic Beans who were unbelievable. They did a bluegrass rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Tuesday’s Gone!!! During the show we had many a guests including Todd Thibault, Todd Usry and Matt Eldridge from Breck. They gave us the lowdown on 24 years and the plans moving forward into their new brewery on South Santa Fe. We also talked to Brian Bjork from Odell Brewing and Julia Wellington from Copper Kettle about their fundraising event A Night to Remember. Dan Rabin came on to talk about his new book Colorado Breweries. We even let Gary V on the show with his partner in crime Katie Nierling who also reps for Fort Collins Brewery. This was such a fun day that will never be repicated. Thanks to the breck crew (especially Sarah, Tebo, Usry and Matt), and all the supporters of this trend setting brewery for making this happen.

Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast: Caution Brewing Company West Grand Opening Saturday January 18, 2014
We had the super huge privilege to broadcast from Caution Brewing Company West at 1057 South Wadsworth in Lakewood! It was their huge grand Opening event with day long festivities and we were honored that Danny and Betty Wang had us out! Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery co hosted! They had 8 amazing beers on tap today and will eventually get to 16. They also have a facility in East Denver on 39th that you need to check out too! This is the first Denver brewery to open a second location in state!
We had several guests on the show including Danny and Betty Wang, Congressman Ed Perlmutter, Jason Wiedemaier from Lone Tree Brewing, and Brian Bjork from Odell Brewing. We also talked to Chandra Ruiz from Funk’N Wild and Sarah Del Rosario from the Orange Crunch Food Truck to talk about the Breweries and Foodies Festival to take place on Friday January 31st from 6 to 11 pm at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. This is a Colorado Benefit for Typhoon Relief in the Philippines. 45 bucks, over 25 breweries and 7 food trucks! The grub is included in ticket price! You can get your tickets HERE.
Daniel Ekker from Argonaut Wine & Liquor and Tim Myers from Strange Brewing Company co hosted this week as we broadcasted from the inaugural Conifer Mountain Barbecue Challenge, Beer & Wine Tasting. Want to thank our gracious hosts Tom Becker and the Rotary Club of Conifer. Set among the beautiful surroundings of Meyer Ranch in Conifer this was one awesome fest with about 20 breweries, unbelievable barbecue and other great vendors and music.
We talked with Tom Becker a bit about the festival and how it came to be. We also were joined by Breckenridge Brewery’s Todd Thibault who sat in most the show! Other guests included Kevin DeLange from Dry Dock Brewing, Jim Stinson from Rockyard American Grill and Brewery, Brian Bjork from Odell Brewing.
Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast: Hops & Pie’s Littlest Big Wild & Sour Fest Saturday July 20th 2013
We broadcasted live from Hops & Pie‘s Littlest Big Wild & Sour Fest! 20 kegs and over 20 bottles of some of the finest sour and wild beers on earth!Chandra Ruiz was our special guest co host. She runs the Funk’n Wild Beer Club that meets quarterly at Oskar Blues Home Made Liquids and Solids.
In Hour One we threw out Mobile Canning‘s Brew News You Can Use segment. We then were joined by Brian Horton and Jeff Aragon from Paradox Beer Company. Since they opened in September of 2012, Paradox has been making some great barrel aged and sour brews at their location in Woodland Park and they also are distributing in the metro! They had Skully #3 Currant Sour on tap at the fest! We also tried their amazing Summer Barleywine. We then chatted with Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery about some upcoming events they are involved. We closed out the hour with Andrew Emerton from New Belgium Brewing. They had 3 taps and some more bottles at the fest! Andrew talked about Oskar Blackberry Love, Tart Lychee and Biere de Peach as well as some other new on some Lips of Faith releases.
In Hour Two we led off with Ryan Bogart from Odell Brewing. we talked about Friek and some new brews Odell is going to be releasing. We also talked about their 12 pack samplers that will change during different seasons. Drew Watson from Hops & Pie then our special guest. We talked about throwing a 40 + beer sour fest, events they have coming up and about their amazing food. We closed out the hour with Cary Floyd of Arvada Beer Company.

They are making some unbelievable beers, canning their Disconnected Red, have some new beers coming down the line and a bevy of events they are involved in for Colorado Craft Beer Week. Their big one-year anniversary is also coming up on May 4th. Steve Kurowski from the Colorado Brewer’s Guild then jumped on to talk about Colorado Craft Beer Week. We also chatted with Breckenridge’s Todd Thibault about their upcoming week events. We closed out the show talking with Andrea Miller and head brewer at Big Choice Zack Coleman!
In Hour Two we led off with Brian O’Connell and Laura Vande Zande from our newest sponsors Renegade Brewing Company! They had an unbelievable Maker’s Mark Barrel-Aged Pumpkin Porter called Cherub Rock on tap! We talked about their CCBW events and about the events that led up to them changing the name of Ryeteous Rye Pale Ale to Redacted. We are so stoked to have these guys on board with us! We then talked to Hops & Pie’s Drew Watson. Pretty soon he will be brewing his own beer there at 39th and Tennyson! We then chatted Odell Brewing with Brian Bjork. They made an unbelievable blend to age in their Makers Mark barrel. They blended their Mountain Standard Black IPA with Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout. It was phenomenal! We closed out the hour with beer journalists Ed Sealover and Eric Gorski. Eric heads up the fabulous First Drafts Beer Blog at the Denver Post. Ed Sealover writes for the Denver Business Journal, is the author of Mountain Brew and the Beer Run Blog. He is also the host of a new Beer Show on TV called Colorado Brews which will it’s pilot episode on Rocky Mountain PBS on April 6th at 9:30 PM.

In Hour One we kicked things off with some Brew News You Can Use! We then talked to our man Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery! We closed out the hour talking with Hops & Pie’s Drew Watson! We talked to Drew about their upcoming brewing plans and about the barrels he bought and dropped off at 5 different breweries.
In Hour Two we led off with Steve Hastings from Dry Dock Brewing Company and Gary Valliere from Prost Brewing. We talked about Dry Dock’s seasonals and their new production facility as well as about Prost’s very fine German brews. We then talked to Luke Franklin from Upslope Brewing and Derek Strubel from Odell Brewing. Both Upslope and Odell have expansion plans and discussed the new Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout from Odell. We closed out the show talking more with Drew Watson and Illegal Pete’s Virgil Dickerson.
