Saturday October 4th 2014 GREAT AMERICAN BEER FEST
For the 4th consecutive year we broadcasted inside the halls of the convention center for Great American Beer Festival. Todd Thibault and Stacy Turk sat in the whole show as we relayed Colorado winners as they were announced. In all, 40 medals were taken by the home state. We also had some cool guests on including Great Divide‘s Tannea Musselman, Draft Magazine‘s Evan Hughes, Dry Dock‘s Jeremiah Kornegay and the BA‘s Julia Herz. Congrats to all the winners at this year’s GABF.
Saturday October 11th 2014 Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar’s Refreshment for a Cause
David Parry of Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar co hosted as we raised money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Several breweries donated beer for this event with all the proceeds going directly to St. Jude’s. We had some very cool guests stop in as well including Grist Brewing‘s Rob Kevwitch, Renegade Brewing‘s Keith Decker and Ashley Sain from St. Jude’s. We also talked a bit about the potential ballot initiative on full strength beers in grocery and c stores.
Saturday October 18th 2014 with Platt Park Brewing and Coda Brewing
Nicol Winkler and Turk were in studio this week with some very special guests who just won GABF medals. In Hour One we sat down with GM and Owner Colby Rankin and Head Brewer Greg Matthews of Platt Park Brewing Company. They grabbed a silver at GABF with their Gump’s Vienna Lager. They are brewing up some amazing beers on South Pearl Street. We also hit up Tebo from Breckenridge Brewery as they transition from Autumn Ale to the Christmas Ale. In Hour Two we jumped in with Head Brewer and Co Owner at Coda Brewing Company Luke Smith. Coda grabbed silver with their Sleepyhead Imperial Passionfruit Kolsh. He has an amazing background and story and is also brewing some phenomenal beers in Aurora. We also did a healthy Brew News You Can Use Segment.
Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast: Parry’s Another Big Ass Avery Tap Takeover Saturday April 26th 2014
Had the honor to broadcast from Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar in Highlands Ranch for Another Big Ass Tap Takeover where over 26 Avery Brewing Company brews were on tap and some rare bottles were floating around too! Founder David Parry was our special co host! Dave Butler from Fermentedly Challenged sat in most of the show and we were also joined by Brewtally Insane’s Mark Robinson. We also had on Avery’s National Sales Director Dustin LeMoine and Darin McGregor who is their National Marketing Director. Breck Brew’s Todd Thibault also dropped us a line from the western slope! Good times were had by all and can’t wait for next years event!

Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast: Oskar Blues Home Made Liquids & Solids 4th Anniversary Bash Saturday October 19th 2013
We broadcasted in the heart of Oskar Blues Country at Home Made Liquids & Solids as they held their 4th Anniversary party and the first ever chili cook off. We love Longmont and we love us some Oskar Blues. Want to thank the OB crew for having us out!
Sitting in on the whole broadcast was the best beer despondent anyone could ask for – Mr. Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery! Garret Frase and Lou McKercher also co hosted as they are a couple of the men behind HMLS and the Oskar Blues Movement. We talked about their CAN’d Aid Foundation, Cyclhops, CHUBurger and all things OB. We also threw out Mobile Canning’s Brew News You Can Use!
Guests included Derek Gold and Logan Wiley from Left Hand Brewing Company, Darryl Abrahamson from Chris Daniels & the Kings, and Ron Popma and Pat Hartman from Mobile Canning. Georgia Boys BBQ won the chili cook off by the way!

Elizabeth Kagan from Firestone Walker was Turk’s co host for the show this week as we broadcasted live from Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar in Highlands Ranch for their 3 location Big Ass Tap Takeover. Avery Brewing provided 31 beers at each location. We spent the whole first hour talking with David Parry and Adam Avery. This was our first chance to have Adam on our show!
In Hour Two we opened up with our Beer Despondent Michael Nelson who joined us from the Greenwood Village Parry’s. Next, Breckenridge Brewery‘s Todd Thibault jumped on with us live from Highlands Ranch and then we did Mobile Canning‘s Brew News You Can Use. Around the bottom of the hour we were joined by beer bloggers Dave Butler from Fermentedly Challenged and Mark Robinson from Brewtally Insane. We talked about Avery brews, what they are covering and about some new breweries. Also this hour, Parry’s Director of Beer Flow Melanie Whitcomb jumped on to give us a scene set from the Parry’s in Castle Rock.

A very jam packed in studio show!
In Hour One we talked with Juan Padro of Highland Tap & Burger and Justin Brunson from Masterpiece Deli. They are pairing up to open the Old Major at 3316 Tejon St. in Denver. They will specialize in Seafood, Swine, Wine and Craft Beer!
We then talked with Craig Rothgery from Denver’s newest brewery De Steeg Brewing. He’s located at 4342 Tennyson St. in Denver in the alley by the Oriental Theater. He has three beers on tap now and soon to add an additional 5 more. Craig likes his high-gravity brews! His grand opening was on February 1st. This neighborhood really popping off now with a ton of great tap rooms, breweries and restaurants.
We also talked to Tim Myers from Strange Brewing and Chef Mike Long from Chef N Brew. They have a huge Fat Tuesday Dinner going on at Strange at 13th and Zuni on Tuesday February 12th. Check the menu and details for tickets HERE. Tim also summarized the Save Our Strange legal benefit festival at Rackhouse Pub as well.
In Hour Two we led off with Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery who gave us all the details on their new farmhouse brewery to open in late 2014 or early 2015 in Littleton off of Santa Fe Drive.
Read all the details HERE as well! We are pretty excited for our friends at Breck to start moving dirt on this monster! We then talked to David Parry from Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar. On Saturday April 27th they will conduct One Big Ass Tap Takeover at three of their locations. Avery Brewing will be taking over 90 taps total and Guinness Book of World Records will be on hand as well.
We closed out the hour talking with Becky Creighton from Culinary Connectors. Her food, wine and beer show follows us every Saturday at 2 pm.
A great time had by all at Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar‘s New Belgium Brewing Tap Takeover!
In Hour 1 we talked to Parry’s owner and all around workaholic David Parry. We also grabbed Thibault who was live from the Breckenridge Brewfest. We also chatted with Dave Butler from Fermentedly Challenged who was live from the 3rd Annual Beer Bloggers Conference in Indianapolis.
In Hour 2 we spent a half hour with Matt Jones and Andrew Emerton from New Belgium Brewing. We talked about their sour program, La Folie, their new beer Red Hoptober and some new Lips of Faith to be hitting stores soon. We closed out the show with Parry’s beer stud Greg Brill and GM Melanie Whitcomb. You need to get into Parry’s and check out their constantly rotating 50 tap handles. Their shop in Castle Rock about to go to 50 taps as well!
In hour one, we led off talking about some fire relief aid that Breckenridge is involved in. We then were joined by Kelly and Cary Floyd to talk all things Arvada Beer Company and sampled most of their 12 beers they are pouring. We then rapped with David Parry and Keniey Sonley from Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar in Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock and Parker. Parry’s boasts 50 taps in Highlands Ranch and will soon sport 40 handles in Castle Rock. As always a ton of brew news you can use mixed in.
In hour two we led off talking about July 7th’s Breckenridge Brewery 22nd Anniversary Bash. The Gubna also joined us live from Alabama as Oskar Blues launched back in Dale and Chris’ home state. We then talked more about what breweries around the state are doing to raise money for fire victims and firefighters. Tim Remple joined us to talk about the Left Hand Brewing Company fundraiser they held with Dark Star Orchestra. He also talked about the Rist Canyon Fire Department‘s needs. Jessica Skoken from the 12 Volt also jumped on to talk about their silent auction. Daniel Michaelson from Deep Cover Band jumped on to talk about the Hops for Habitat event at the Plains Conservation Center n Aurora coming up on July 20th. We then were joined by the Arvada Beer Company all female GABF pro am winner in their homebrew competition. Jolie Mann won the competition with her Scottish Ale and now will brew a large batch with Arvada Beer Company and they will enter it into the home brew competition at the Great American Beer Fest. Then, Brock Coffman jumped on to talk about Baker St. Pretzels which you can find at several breweries around the state.
Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast 6-23-12 Zamparelli’s Italian Bistro and Atlas Valley Wine & Spirits Remote
In hour one we talked with Jim and Nancy Zamparelli about their lovely Italian Bistro, craft beer and food and about some music. At the midway point of hour one we had our usual conversation with Breckenridge Brewery’s Todd Thibault who joined us live from the Colorado Brewer’s Festival in Fort Collins. We also talked to Bryce Befull from Atlas Valley Wine & Spirits. They are adding 9 new doors for craft beer! Also Turk’s buddy Tom Farrell stopped in for the last minute to say hey!
In hour two we led off with Left Hand Brewing Company’s Bubba Love. He talked about their beers and about some events they have coming up. We then rapped with Lucas Allen from Oskar Blues Brewery. At the midway mark David Parry from Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar joined us. He is a new Title Sponsor of the show. He has 3 locations. He’s adding 40 taps to his Castle Rock location and his Highland Ranch taproom has 50 craft handles. We closed out the show talking with the musicians who played after we went off the air. Eric Martinez and Tori Pater from the Dyrty Byrds and 11 year old singer, songwriter and guitarist Jaden Carlson talked about their music.
