In hour one, Upslope Brewing’s Alex Violette jumped on to talk about the new collab with Crooked Stave called Ferus Flexus. Next up head brewer at Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery Wayne Burns was in studio to talk about his unbelievable experience in beer and about how BIG they like to go down there at 20th and Lawrence.  We also talked to Tebo from Breckenridge Brewery as he was attending Arizona Beer Week. Breck is releasing their Barleywine at their spot on 471 Kalamath in Denver on March 15th.

In Hour two we were joined in studio by Nick Nunns and Zack Coleman from Trve Brewing Company at 227 Broadway. We talked about their souring program, their styles and heavy metal! We also got an update on location and TTB approval for Zack and Chad Christofferson and Chain Reaction Brewing! Look out Missisippi and Lipan!

Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast: Illegal Pete’s 270 S. Broadway 12-14-2013

We had the honor to broadcast at Illegal Pete’s at 270 S. Broadway and what a show this was! Illegal Pete’s Marketing Guru and All Around Good Guy Virgil Dickerson co hosted with Turk. We had many special guests. First up was Amanda Seastrom from Niman Ranch who supplies their pork and beef and they do it in a humanely and sustainable way! We then talked to Mike Nelson a little bit who basically announced he was running for city council.  Tebo was next up from Breckenridge Brewery to talk about several items. Still not too late to get their Christmas Ale but do it fast! Aaron Thomas Collins from the great local band A Tom Collins then joined us to talk about his band, touring and the new album Sticke and Poke. Next up were brewers Alex Violette and Sam Screwbie from Upslope Brewing Company. They talked about the collaboration beer they did with Illegal Pete’s, the Christmas Ale and the re release of Foreign Style Stout. Comedian Adam Cayton-Holland was next. He is part of the Grawlix which you can catch at Funny Or Die, he does a ton of stand up around town as well as other places nationwide. He has a hilarious podcast too called My Dining Room Table. Check out his website HERE.  Last up was a legend in the music biz! Patterson Hood from the Drive-By Truckers jumped on as did Bart Dahl from 7S Management. Can’t thank Bart enough for this interview as well as Virgil for bringing in such amazing guests! We also want to thank an amazing crowd for showing up including Turk’s mom Deb, Linda, Sned, The Hurley’s, Johnny G, Adam Lenfest, Nicol Winkler, Jim Bullington, David Sirota and Bryce and Casey from Atlas Valley Wine & Spirits!

Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast 10-20-2012

In the studio with us for the whole show was Head Brewer at Upslope Brewing Company Alex Violette and head of Logistics, Linguistics and Statistics at Twisted Pine Brewing Company Justin Tilotta. Upslope won a medal at GABF with their Brown and Twisted Pine also won a couple medals for their Big Shot Espresso Tout and West Bound Braggot! We talked about their medal winners as well as their other staples! We talked brewery expansions, pumpkin beers, GABF, and much more.

Also joining us on the phone was Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery. Jimmy Walker in Breck has some new beers he is working on as well as a potential sour program. We also talked with David Cole from Epic Brewing in Salt Lake City. They broke news about opening a new brewery in Denver in the next year. They also won a medal at GABF with their Utah Sage Saison.

Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast 31st Annual Great American Beer Festival 10-13-2012

We were very honored to be the only broadcast crew inside the halls of Great American Beer Festival! As the medal ceremony was wrapping up we had several guests on!

In Hour One we led off with a little scene set from the 31st annual GABF! We were then joined by General Manager at the Publican in Chicago Katie Syracopoulos. We also talked with Adam Trattler from Backcountry Brewery in Frisco. We then were joined by a very overworked Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery. He gave us the lowdown on what it’s like to be involved in dozens of events and having to get beer practically everywhere during GABF week. We closed out the hour with John Winter from Lone Tree Brewing Company!

In Hour Two folks started pouring out of the awards ceremony. We announced some of those winners and Andrew Emerton from New Belgium Brewing jumped on. They won two medals! Brewers Association Craft Beer Program Director Julia Herz also joined us to talk about some of the medal winners and about 31 years of GABF! Strange Brewing Company co owner Tim Myers also joined us right after learning they had won a Bronze for their Dr. Strangelove Barleywine! Next up was Andy Brown and Marty Jones from the Wynkoop to talk about their Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout. Our next guests were Brad Lincoln and Gordon Schuck from Funkwerks who grabbed gold medals with their Belgian Style Strong and their Saison. But that was just the beginning, as they also received the Small Brewery of the Year Award! Upslope also won a silver medal in the American Style Brown category and head brewer Alex Violette joined us. We closed out the show with Ska President Dave Thibodeau who was a skunked as far as medals and was a little sour! We love him dearly though!
